Learn a trade that pays. No degree, no experience.
We cut concrete. Sixty-five years, still family run, ten trucks out of Peoria. If you show up on time, stay off your phone, and want to be good at something with your hands — we will teach you the rest. $20 an hour to start. $25 the day you get your own truck. $35 and up once you are running jobs, and no ceiling above that. Most men are in their own truck in two to three months.
Straight about it
What the work actually is.
We would rather you know now than find out on day three.
- It is physical. You are on your feet, in the heat, moving equipment that is heavier than you are. You will be wet, you will be dusty, and you will sleep well.
- It starts early. A lot of cutting happens at 5am, at night, or on a weekend, because that is when a building is empty enough to cut it.
- It is precise. Concrete does not go back. A line in the wrong place is somebody’s wall. The men who are good at this are careful men.
- You go places most people never see. Stadiums, hospitals, fab campuses behind a badge, the inside of a working freezer, the top of a parking deck at 2am.
- Nothing you do today is more important than going home. That is not a poster in our shop, it is how we run a job.
What we are looking for
We can teach cutting. We cannot teach showing up.
- You show up. On time, every day, ready to work. This is most of it.
- A valid Arizona driver license and a record clean enough to put you in a company truck.
- You can pass a drug test. Ours and the customer’s.
- You are in shape enough to do hard work in Arizona summer and still be useful at 2pm.
- You take the work seriously. Off the phone, eyes on the cut, clean up after yourself.
No degree. No experience. No trade school. We have trained men who had never run a saw in their life and now run jobs.
Separating from the service?
We are twenty minutes from Luke.
If you are coming off active duty, this trade fits how you already work: a procedure, a crew, equipment you respect, and a job that is done right or done again.
We are a badged contractor at Luke Air Force Base and at the Intel and TSMC campuses, so restricted-site work is normal for us. Tell us your separation date when you apply. If you are eligible for a DoD SkillBridge internship, say so — we want to talk to you before you separate, not after.
Where it goes
Helper. Operator. Top operator. It moves fast.
Helper — $20/hr
You ride along, pull hose, handle slurry, learn the equipment and learn the customer. You are being taught, and you are being paid while it happens. Nobody starts below twenty.
Operator — $25/hr
Your own truck, your own jobs, your own number. You take the truck home. Dispatch gives you the work and you go do it. The day you get your own truck you go to twenty-five. Most men get there in two to three months.
Top operator — $35/hr and up
Still an operator. Still in your own truck, still running a saw. The difference is you are good at all of it — coring, wall sawing, slab, green, grinding, scanning, demo — you are the competent person on site, and you are the man dispatch sends when the job cannot go wrong. Thirty-five and up, plus overtime, no ceiling. Very few men get here.
No seniority. If you are the best, you beat the rest.
Nobody here moves up because he has been around the longest. Time served is not a rank. If you are better than the man beside you, you go first — ten weeks in or ten years in, it is the same rule.
Be the best man on the crew and you get paid like the best man on the crew. Most men are in their own truck inside two to three months, and how fast you go after that is entirely up to you.
Several of our men have been here more than ten years. One has been cutting for the same customer for a decade. They stayed because it kept being worth staying.

What people ask before they apply.
Do I need experience?
No. We train. What we cannot train is showing up on time, staying off your phone, and caring whether the cut is straight.
What do I need to get hired?
A valid Arizona driver license with a record clean enough to drive a company truck, the ability to pass a drug test, and the physical condition to work on your feet in Arizona heat.
Do I really take a truck home?
Yes. Operators take their work truck home. There is no morning muster at a yard — your day starts where you slept and ends there.
What does it pay?
Twenty dollars an hour to start, with no experience. Twenty-five the day you get your own truck. Thirty-five an hour and up once you are a top operator — still on the saw, but good at every one of our services and trusted with the jobs that cannot go wrong — plus overtime — and the best of the best go well past that. There is no ceiling here, and no seniority either — if you are better, you go first, whoever started before you. Most men are in their own truck in two to three months.
How long before I get my own truck?
Most men are in their own truck in two to three months, and that is when you go to twenty-five an hour. It is not a fixed timetable — it is when you can be handed a job and trusted with it. Some get there sooner.
What are the hours?
Mostly day work, but this trade goes when the building is empty. Early starts, some nights, some weekends. Overtime is part of it.
Is this a career or just a job?
Helper to operator to top operator. A top operator is still running a saw — he is just the best there is at all of it. It is a trade, and a trade is a career.
