Green sawing in Phoenix: the lead in green cutting.
Control joints cut the day of the pour with Soff-Cut saws and vacuums, on greens as large as you can pour, with zero risk of losing the slab.
Our staff knows how hard you work to perfect your concrete pours, and the cut joints are the icing on top, so to speak. We have Soff-Cut saws and vacuums to provide you with the best, cleanest, and safest way there is to cut greens.
We have the capability and the manpower to cut as large a green as you can successfully pour, with zero risk of losing the slab. We have been slab sawing greens in Phoenix since 1961, and we have perfected the right diamond mix to complete the job with speed and quality. When we saw your slab, we leave nice, crisp lines.
Blades made special for Phoenix river rock.
In Phoenix, river rock gives a lot of blades a run for their money. We have had our Soff-Cut blades made special for us.
We always use joint protectors.
Joint protectors secure and protect your corners while the concrete is still green. It’s an extra step and an extra cost, and we do it on every job, because a chipped corner on a fresh pour is your problem to explain to the owner.
We are not lazy or cheap. We don’t cut corners, because we know that will get you in trouble every time. We spend the extra money to leave you with a great product.

Green sawing questions
When do you cut green concrete?
The same day it is poured, in the window after the slab will hold the saw and before it starts to crack on its own. Miss that window and the slab decides where the joints go.
What is Soff-Cut and why does it matter?
It is an early-entry saw that cuts the slab hours after the pour without ravelling the edge. It is how you get the control joint in before the shrinkage cracks beat you to it.
How soon after the pour do you need to be there?
Usually within a few hours, and it depends on the mix, the heat and the wind -- Arizona summers shorten that window considerably. Tell dispatch the pour time and we schedule backwards from it.
Do you cut at night?
Constantly. Pours finish late, so green cutting is night work more often than not. We are open 24/7.
What happens if the joints are cut too late?
The slab cracks where it wants to, not where the joint is, and you own that crack for the life of the floor. That is the whole risk green sawing removes.
What does green sawing cost?
