When we started cutting concrete in 1961, Glendale was a farm town of about 16,000 people. The old sugar beet factory on Grand Avenue was bottling Squirt, Glendale Community College was still four years from opening on the Sahuaro Ranch land, and the Cardinals were in St. Louis. Today Glendale is a quarter of a million people, our mail still goes to a Glendale post office box, and our trucks have been in and out of town every week the whole way.
- 1941. Luke Field opens west of town. Luke has been flying twenty years longer than we have been cutting.
- 1965. Glendale Community College opens its doors on 120 acres of the old Sahuaro Ranch. We were four years old.
- 1993. Arrowhead Towne Center opens and the north side fills in. Same name on the truck, a lot more floors to cut.
- 2006. Cardinals Stadium opens at Westgate with the first roll-out natural grass field in the country. Our truck was on that floor.
- 2026. The rebuilt Glendale City Hall gets its handrails. April 6, we cored every handrail post hole on the new steps. See the job.

Cardinals Stadium in Glendale, the one the signs call State Farm Stadium now. When the biggest concrete floor in Arizona needed saw cutting, this is who they called. Truck 10 backed onto the stadium floor, a walk-behind slab saw on the line, a diamond blade the size of a truck tire, wet cutting with the slurry vacuumed up behind it. We take the slab sawing jobs that are too large for other concrete cutting companies, and we have since 1961.

Glendale spent three years and close to $100 million rebuilding its downtown civic campus: City Hall, the Council Chambers, the amphitheatre, and Murphy Park. The ribbon was cut on June 18, 2026, the city’s 116th birthday, with an F-16 flyover from Luke, and the doors opened to the public that July. Before any of that could happen, the new City Hall steps needed handrails, and handrails need holes. On April 6, 2026, we core drilled 3-inch cores for the handrail posts, one at every post location, on the layout and plumb, so the rail crew could set the posts and grout them. That was the whole job: handrail cores, done clean, done in a day. The park in the old photo is the one next door. The clock is still there. The steps we cored are brand new.
